Hell world, crumbs I am so behind on this I can not remember all we have done!!!! We went to one of our favourite haunts, Cwmtydu, I remember going there on days out when I was a kid and they had a rather old and musky furniture shop, now there is a little cafe(used to be in the owners cottage but now is just a take- away in a shed(still lovely, honestly)Cwmtydu has always been shaded and Harriet had dressed for summer so after a little beach combing we went to a lovely little seeside place called Llangrannog.<img src=’/images/blogpics043.jpg’ alt=’Cwmtydu’ />Yippee it had a cafe that had delicious cakes and coffee and the views whilst drinking and eating were amazing! My friend was fascinated with the surf(maybe the fact the surfers were rather young and fit had something to do with it!! <img src=’/images/blogpics052.jpg’ alt=’surfs up!’ /> we had a lovely time and took lots of photos, the weather was so warm and we also feeling energetic walked round the vilage gazing into peoples cottages (mostly summer let ones, we are not that nosey)!!!!Boy did we sleep that night.Oh but before we could sleep we had the making of the roman candles boy did we have fun but as Lucy said in her blog she found the handle difficult and so did I.Lots of sleeping bunnies and very happy ones too.The scary thing is I am not missing home, traffic, people, shops etc etc!!!Do miss Toby and Herbie(our dogs).Happy daysx

a day in paradise!!!!!

What a day, had promised to meet my brother at Welshpool at 8.30 this morning(it was very sweet of him to meet us half way and bring us down to our mums cottage)Amazingly I was organised and we were ready to leave at the arranged time!!!Poor Jen who crawled out of bed 10 mins before leaving our house to drive to meet my brother and say goodbye to us!He had a busy day ahead of him helping a dear friend move his old mum into a nursing home!It looked like we were coming to stay for a month but I did get a bit carried away with the "venture" bag!!!!!Half way along our journey without us realising the temperature had gone from 2.5 degrees to 16 the car suddenly felt VERY warm and Max had turned into a ghost like figure!!!!Yep those bends on the journey, a dodgy sandwich from the garage and the heat were just too much!!!!!Right on a bad bend Max said quietly, he wanted to be sick!!!emoticonOh my life I wasn’t equipped for this, you would of thought after 16 years of travelling with kids I would of been!!!!Anyway lets just say the empty sandwich box came in handy!!!!So the rest of our journey was spent with all the windows down and not mentioning the "S" word again! Our first port of call was to have a cup of tea at a dear friends house, the kids came out from there laden with a bag full of goodies given to them for later!!emoticonWe then drove to a nearby seaside place and my brothers first port of call was a lovely cafe for lunch, Hax had red lentil and chick pea dahl Max just wanted coke(a very rare thing to be allowed)ok you are on your hols only today though I kept saying!!!!It is a very peaceful cafe and has wireless internet so we were all fed and happy and ready to hit the beach! No I should say the dreaded pound shop first!!!!That is all Max has come to Wales for he had £3 to spend and his uncle had given him £4.I prayed he would not surely find 7 things to buy on his first hour of being on his holiday!!!!!5 hours later(only joking but it did feel like that) we were carrying a flashing eye ball, dracula in a coffin and a monster!!Great what an interseting combination!Haz bought a card making kit and I bought some puzzly things for my new job oh and some photo albums, yep I love a bargin!!!Could not believe how warm it was on the beach and it is only febuary what is going on!!We made some sand angels yes we were inspired by the lovely vegan family, Lucy, Davie, Daniel and Charlotte!People looked upon us as if we were mad, maybe we are or maybe it was all the relief and excitement for being away from the hussle and bussle of city life!!!We played boules at first my brother had forgot Max would not take kindly to his uncle winning every game!Harriet kept score and took a photo of it (which I still havn’t been given a how to put pics on here lesson, maybe tomorrow), we played football oh the ball it is a Wales/Cymru one which Max bought also from the £1 shop!On our little walk back to the car we went into another shop (this time not a £1 one,but just as bad) Max spotted a friend for Marty his monkey, but he was £3 short so we had a chat and he over the week here will earn extra pennies and if he has enough at the end of our trip he can go back and get Marty’s friend!!!!!Thank goodness my eldest wasn’t here as thay had gollies in this shop, and he loves them!Max before getting into the front door of the cottage had to shke off any sand, boy the child had brought back the beach(10p had just been earned)My friend came round after we had made some aeroplanes thanks to the works shop and max was settled with cinema surround sound in his bedroom watching star wars.A bottle of wine lots of veggies and a chick pea dip we are all happy bunnies!!!!Oh how I miss country life and the beauty of it all and the peace and safety!I walked my friend back part of the way to her house on a country road holding onto an eco friendly lantern and felt very safe and the sky tonight is full of amazing stars. What a beautiful end to a beautiful day!!!Thank you God!Tomorrow my brother needs to go food shopping eeekkk!!!!Haz has opted to go for a power walk with my friend(and secretly they are planning to go to a tobermory type village to have real hot chocolates haz is amazed they have real blocks of dark chocolate that you melt on a stick in the mug)what a treat!emoticonOm Shanti all out there and much love & light to the worldx

Hi all, this is my first blog, so please bear with me! We have recently been approved as foster carers and it has been a tough  journey, but we are all still in one piece just to tell tell the tale!We are waiting for outr first placement!!!I have been on a course for the last two days and boy were the days long!!!!This morning my youngest skipped to school armed with a tin of cakes for the cake sale I must admit I bought the ckaes but we decorated them ourselves! My son was too busy too worry about the cakes he’s been  thinking about how many sleeps till we go away for a few days to Wales!Mind you I have been counting the sleeps too.Ever since coming across a fab web site run by a fab family I have been desperate to get to the countryside and the SEA!!Their blog inspired me to buy the whole art section of the Works shop, wow and did that feel good.We have made up our bits n pieces bag of all kinds of creative things including our cameras so we are armed ready to go!!!!!My daughter text me 5 times during my course (luckily I had abided to the rules and had it switched off)she Bless her was having a hard time at school, she has been finding out who her real friends are (none), school that is a sore point and I wish I had the confidence to home educate them but that’s another story!!!!My 5  yr old decided (thankfully ) that he didn’t want to go to the school Valentine disco (I think the P.T.A wanted my help) but eh sometimes we have to put our family 1st!My eldest son nearly 16 is asleep on the sofa as I am writing this(must have had a hard day at school or maybe a very late night to bed)! Both dogs are asleep too, perhaps I burnt too much lavender!!!Talking of lavender when I go to Wales I hope to give my friend Reiki and REflexology oh and I may even read my trusted angel cards!!! Another blog maybe!!!Check out www.veganfamily.co.uk they are a great family.beckyx
